As Willowmoore High's Robotics Team, we participate in an
international Lego League sponsored by Scibono. Teams in
the league are encouraged to work together to solve real
world problems as they build, test and program a robot to
execute required missions while integrating core values. Ra z e e n

B Being part of this incredible experience has sparked a love
and passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
(STEM) and opened up pathways to explore opportunities in
    careers within STEM.
O Our team members have developed their skills in critical
thinking, analysis, research and public speaking. During our
journey, we were able to explore our creativity and talent
while learning to work as a team and have made several
friends from different parts of South Africa who share the
    same interest.

Last seasoast season's theme "Into Orbit" challenged us to think
beyond earthly constraints in order to solve problems in
outer space. With an immense amount of time spent, dedica-
tion and perseverance, we were recognised for having the
best robot design and strategy in Gauteng, which helped us
advance to the national level. Having competed nationally Zaynab
was an incredible experience and honour for our team.
Partnering up with the Cape Town team, Stellarbots and
combining our robots for the ultimate Battle Bot was the
best part of the competition. We are currently in contact with
a few overseas teams whom we hope to exchange our expe-
    riences and thoughts with.
This seasons exciting FLL theme is "City Shaper", and we as a
team are eager to overcome obstacles to explore the magnif-
icent world of engineering, architecture and sustainable de-
velopment in a city. Our team was awarded for Robot Design
in 2019s Lego League. Our expertise will be taken to a Na-
    tional Tournament in December.

It is such a privilege for me to have been part of the robotics
team since its inception at Willowmoore High in 2017and a
seeing it grow from strength to strength. We hope that this
                                                                              C oc h & l
love for Innovation, Science and Technology can be a shared- C e o
experience for all Willowmoore High Students.
