Staff Makanyane

Makanyane volunteers are on a mission to
help the Northwest park Tourism board in
its conservation of wild plants, animals and
landscapes for the bene t of the people
who have interest in environments and
wildlife and appreciate wide open spaces.
Meetings are held once a month in Pilans-
beerg and are a fun way to spend a week-
b
end out in the bushveld. The weekend in-
cludes a wide variety of work and utilisa-
tion of special skills in order to preserve
nature and encourage teamwork at the
same time. Funds collected by the volun-
teers are used for tools, equipment and
paint. Willowmoore Staff frequently work
as Makanyane volunteers and we are very
proud of the skills they have acquired in
making nature a better place for all

In November 2018, Willowmoore
High said goodbye to one of their
most-loved teachers, Mrs White. Mrs
White taught at Willowmoore High
School for 35 years and retired in
2015 and was most loved for her ex-
citing approach to Physical Science
